The Friends of the Florence Events Center, festival underwriter, thank all of our sponsors for Winter Music Festival 2019.

A special thanks goes out to this year's Presenting Sponsor, Sea Lion Caves.  Their generous support makes it possible to present the finest lineup in the history of the festival.  Be sure to either pay a visit, or just say thanks, to all of our vital sponsors.

Sea Lion Caves is a privately owned wildlife preserve and bird sanctuary (since 1932) centrally located just 11 miles north of Florence on the beautiful and rugged Oregon Coast. Sea Lion Caves is proud to be part of the Oregon/Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve helping to protect the local marine animals and marine environment. Sea Lion Caves is America's largest sea cave and the year-round home of the Steller sea lion, but sea lions are not always in the Cave. They are wild animals and we are not a zoo so these protected animals come and go as they please, as is their nature. Winter months will usually find hundreds of sea lions in the Cave and when spring arrives, breeding and birthing time, the sea lions will move from the Cave to the rookery areas (the rock ledges out in front of the Cave) and will remain there through the summer.

Art and Jean Koning (sponsors of the Saturday Night Headliners)

The Winter Music Festival extends sincerest thanks for the Konings for sponsoring the heart of the festival, the Saturday Night Headliners.

As a couple, Art and Jean are a local powerhouse.  In addition to a history of civic involvement, they run Terrace Homes and Koning and Cooper Construction Inc.  Their winning combination includes treating each customer with respect, being considered good citizens by their customers, and they are the recipients of numerous customer service, customer satisfaction, and sales awards.  As Art and Jean like to say, at Terrace Homes, “One stop will do it all” for your next home building project.

Trillium Community Health Plan (sponsor of Friday Night Bluegrass)

The Winter Music Festival is pleased to announce Trillium Community Health Plans the sponsor of Friday Night Bluegrass!

OUR MISSION AND VISION

At Trillium, we believe that listening to our members is the key to success. That's why in 2015 we decided to re-write our Mission and Vision- this time with help from our members, providers, community leaders and Trillium employees. Small focus groups and individual interviews helped us learn what was important to people in helping them improve their health and their lives. The common themes from those sessions became the foundation of these guiding statements.

Our Mission is to listen to, respect and empower our members, in partnership with the provider community, to achieve better health by addressing their unique needs and seeking innovative solutions.

Our Vision is to create a strong, community-based health care system that focuses on prevention and delivering high quality service to our members through coordination, collaboration, and partnerships.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Trillium Community Health Plan is a Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) and recognized leader for innovative approaches and outstanding coordination of community-based healthcare. Helping create a healthier community is the core of Trillium’s mission. We partner with an extensive group of physical, behavioral and oral healthcare providers on behalf of Oregon Health Plan members in Lane and Western Douglas County.

Trillium is committed to its members and community. Since 2012, Trillium has invested more than $13 million in Lane County to open four new clinics to ensure all members have access to primary care, to expand prevention services targeted at reducing tobacco use and obesity, and to further integrate and enhance community behavioral health services – including addressing the holistic needs of our most vulnerable such as housing, education, and access to healthy food.

We are proud of the work we do at Trillium and value the trust of our community to coordinate the highest quality of care for our members.

COMPANY HISTORY

It all started in 1977 when local Lane County doctors came together to form the Lane Individual Physicians Association (LIPA). In 1996, as commercial insurers were backing out in Lane County, LIPA funded the creation of a plan to locally manage the Oregon Health Plan and was awarded by the state in 1999. In 2012, Trillium Community Health Plan was one of the first Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) approved by the state to transform care for Oregon Health Plan members.

From early in its development, Trillium collaborated with Lane County and formed a unique public-private partnership. The partnership has become a model for integration of behavioral health and primary care integration as well as expanding the reach of prevention efforts.

As a key focus area, Trillium sets aside $1.33 per Oregon Health Plan member per month to fund programs that prevent chronic disease and help Trillium members live healthier lives. Instead of just treating our members when they get sick, we work to keep them healthy and thriving. Trillium has invested more than $13 million in the community to expand access to care, enhance prevention programs targeting tobacco, obesity and behavioral health and fund grants that improve delivery of care through innovation.

Now serving more than 90,000 members in Lane and Douglas counties, Trillium has been recognized for consistently meeting or exceeding state performance and quality standards and is the only CCO awarded with a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation.

We are proud of our 20+ years working on behalf of Oregon Health Plan members. Whether the need is for medical care, food, housing or transportation Trillium strives to meet the needs of each individual. We are more than a community-based organization serving members- we're part of the community.

Oregon Pacific Bank

In addition to general volunteer time, many of our employees serve in leadership positions on numerous influential community organizations. Aside from volunteer hours, Oregon Pacific Bank supports numerous community organizations through sponsorships and donations.

Ninkasi Brewing – Beer is Love

The Florence Winter Music Festival is delighted that Ninkasi has signed on again for 2019.   Through their Beer is Love program, Ninkasi believes that theycan help others do good through using beer as the liquid to bring people together. The program offers beer donations to registered 501(c)3 non-profit organizations throughout every community where Ninkasi beer is sold and enjoyed. Beer is Love supports non-profits doing work in five core categories: animals, arts and music, equality, outdoors, and women.

In 2007, Ninkasi moved to its current location in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood. Known for its eclectic art, the two knew this neighborhood would easily foster community. Fast forward to 2011, and the hard work of both founders landed them the fastest growing craft brewery in the United States with a top selling IPA in Oregon. Fast forward to present day, and Ninkasi ranks the 38th largest craft brewer in the United States (Brewers Association, 2017).

The brewery continues to grow while remaining fully independent and continuously focused on community. A team of two has increased to a family of over 100 employees who operate Ninkasi’s tasting room, production and lab facilities, online casinos, sales force, marketing teams, local distribution arm, and a donations program.

Ninkasi beer may be purchased all weekend at Pavilion Catering, our on-site caterer, located just outside of the Florence Events Center Theater in the lobby.

Florence Dental Clinic

Florence is blessed with many civic-minded businesses and individuals.  Doctors Brian Holmes and Justin H. Linton are up there with the best of the best when it comes to sponsoring projects, causes, and events around town.  Not just this year, but year after year, just as many of our other valued partners on this list.  We thank them for believing in, and supporting, what we do each January.

The Florence Dental Clinic is located on 2750 Kingwood behind the high school and middle school.  The building was completed in June of 2009 by all local contractors.  We send a special thanks to all of them for their work in creating a nationally recognized dental office.  At the American Dental Conference, the Florence Dental Clinic was recognized as the most economically designed practice of 2009.  We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.

Community involvement.  On December 8th the Florence Dental Clinic was honored by the Oregon Bankers Association.  Dee Osborne, from Banner Bank, nominated our business for the Community Applause Award and we were chosen for the small business award.  It is a great honor to have won for our efforts to better the community that we live in.  The Florence Dental Clinic will continue to do what we can day by day to help our community and our children.

Sponsorships. We sponsor these major programs: Kiwanis, Rotary, National American Miss Pageant, Rhododendron Pageant, Boys and Girls Club, Military Museum, Outreach services, Siuslaw School District, Food Share of Florence, Florence Humane Society, and others.

International C-Food Market Restaurant

Welcome to International C-Food Market Restaurant, also referred to as ICM's unique seafood restaurant. Owner Ramiro Ramirez, with the help of many local contractors, has built the newest and most exciting seafood restaurant on the Oregon coast - right here in Old Town Florence, overlooking the Siuslaw River. The restaurant was built from the water up in only eight months, and opened on July 20, 1993. Every detail was carefully thought out. A relatively unknown local artist, Mark Storaasli, who we were fortunate to discover, created the unique murals on the outside and inside of the restaurant. His work certainly demonstrates his unusual style and quality as a true artist. The Neptune wood sculpture was created by local artist Dylan James from a piece of big leaf maple was dedicated to the Port of Siuslaw in recognition of the importance of the present and past fisherman.

Florence Golf Links

Nestled amidst wind swept sand dunes and towering pines, Florence Golf Links is a breathtaking location for coastal golf. The Rees Jones designed course was honored as the “Best New Public Course in America” in 1993. As one of the premier courses in the Northwest, Florence Golf Links received a 4½ star rating from Golf Digest’s list of “Places to Play in the USA.”

Florence Golf Links is centrally located on the Oregon Dunes. Just 60 miles west of Eugene and 70 miles north of Bandon, Florence Golf Links offers a mild coastal climate and year-round playing conditions, perfect for golfers traveling the Oregon coast, or those looking to escape the foggy cold mornings of the Willamette Valley.

The par 72, 6,931-yard course is a true test of the game to golfers of all levels. Both nines incorporate the beautifully rugged canvas that is the Central Oregon Coast. The outward nine is sculpted out of a forest of towering pines and majestic crystal blue lakes reminiscent of those found on the Monterey Peninsula. The inward nine brings you back to the soul of the game with its traditional Links style and rolling dunes from tee to green.

Diverse wildlife make their home in and around Florence Golf Links.  Frequent sightings include deer, geese, ducks and ducklings, sandpipers, blue heron, crane, bald eagles, osprey and, infrequently, black bear and coyote. Bring a camera and you will get some great pictures.

Our 9,000 square foot clubhouse is home to "The Grill & Lounge," the centerpiece of our facility, featuring breathtaking views of the golf course and fresh, local cuisine. The Golf Shop offers the latest in golf equipment, apparel, and accessories for both men and women.
